Christine Trunk, DDS
Dr. Trunk is a native Floridian. Originally from the Pensacola area, she is excited to be back in Florida permanently and now calls Saint Augustine home. She is a 2005 graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and has dedicated her career to providing quality and compassionate dental care. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, North East Florida Dental Association, Jacksonville Dental Society, and International Academy of Facial Aesthetics. She is licensed to practice in Texas and Florida.
Dr. Trunk has had the privilege of working with the men and women of the military, serving in the United States Navy as an active duty Naval Officer. She completed post-graduate training with the Navy in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program.
After she resigned her commission with the Navy, Dr. Trunk worked as a contract dentist with Mayport Naval Branch Health Clinic, civil service dentist for the US Army in Hawaii, dental hygiene adjunct faculty at Florida State College in Jacksonville, public health dentist with the Florida Department of Health in Duval County, and then an associate in private practice in Jacksonville.
Dr. Trunk enthusiastically seeks continuing dental education to improve and grow her dental practice. In her spare time, she collects sharks teeth, explores with her family, and is always on the look out for new restaurants to try.

Merlin P. Ohmer, DDS, MAGD
Dr. Ohmer, a native of Thibodaux, LA, graduated from Nicholls State University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Chemistry. He then earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1979 from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. He spent three years on active duty in the United States Army. After his release from active duty he practiced in Baton Rouge, LA, until 1989 when he returned to active duty in the United States Navy Dental Corps as a Lieutenant Commander. He completed a one-year fellowship in oral surgery in 1984 at Naval Dental Center Great Lakes, IL. He has served the Navy in many roles all around the world.
Dr. Ohmer retired as a Captain in the Navy Dental Corps and is happy to join Dr. Trunk in forming Dental Doctors of Florida. He brings 37 years of dental practice weighted heavily in surgical care, including wisdom tooth removal, implant placement, bone grafting and periodontal care.
He is a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry, a recognition earned by only 1% of dentists, member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Implant Dentistry and Academy of Laser Dentistry. He is a continuous learner, having earned over 3200 hours of continuing education credit. Dr. Ohmer is happy to bring his experience and education to serve you, providing the most comprehensive dental care possible.
In his spare time, Dr. Ohmer enjoys spending time with his family outdoors, at the beach, hiking and camping.
